About The Area
Skiathos is home to more than 60 beaches, most of them sandy, and the property itself is within walking distance of Achladies Beach, one of the island’s most popular stretches of sand, known for its calm, shallow waters and views across to Skopelos. Boat trips from the area make it easy to reach the more remote coves and settings, including Lalaria Beach. Skiathos Town itself is a maze of quaint streets lined with clothing, jewellery, art and craft stores, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and coffee shops. Beyond the town, the island’s history includes the ancient village ruins at Kastro and the monasteries of Evagelistria, Panagia Eikonistria and Panagia Kechria.
For buyers looking at lifestyle or rental-yield potential, the island has an active tourism scene; tavernas and more high-end restaurants, nightlife, mountain biking, forest hiking trails, and water sports including scuba diving and parasailing.
